Leeds Hockey Club would like to express our sadness and regret at the loss of Joel Scott, who died tragically last week.
Joel joined Leeds Hockey Club in the 07/08 season and quickly rose through the ranks from the 7th team to play in the 4th team. It was clear to all that played or trained with Joel that he was a natural sportsman and a talented hockey player, who would have undoubtedly gone on to play at a higher level. We have fond memories of Joel trying to play higher up the pitch - only to be shouted at by his team to get back and defend!
Joel had a maturity on the pitch and was a confident but considered person off it. He will be missed by all those that played with him. Our thoughts and condolences are with Joel's family and friends at this time. |
