Leeds Hockey Club is one of the largest and most successful clubs in West Yorkshire.  We currently have around 200 senior playing members and run 7 men’s teams, 4 ladies teams, 3 indoor teams, a social mixed team and a Men's vets side.  We also have an active junior section. 

The club is now based primarily on the two excellent astro-turf pitches at the University of Leeds Weetwood facility.  Some matches occasionally take place a few miles away at Horsforth School.  We hold regular fitness and training sessions at these venues. 

We are committed to offering a high level of coaching and training for all players. The Club continues to invest for the future and now employs a professional Director of Coaching in Lewis Butcher, who is also Men's 1st Team Coach.  Lewis brings a huge wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the Club and has a successful track record coaching hockey at an elite level in other roles.  Lewis will oversee and support our other coaches through the course of the season and is a major part of our plan to develop a stronger future for Leeds Hockey Club.  

The club is committed to maintaining the highest operating standards and was awarded ClubsFirst status in June 2006 by England Hockey.

Our Mens 1st XI now play in the North Hockey Division 1, with all our other teams playing in various divisions in the Yorkshire Hockey league.

We welcome players of all abilities, ages and standards. We are a friendly club and organise a number of fun social activities during the year for members, family and friends at venues in and around Leeds.

Season 2011/12 will be our 75th year as a club, so we are planning a series of events and celebrations to mark this special occasion! We held our club open day on 10th September to kick start the celebrations.

If you would like to join our club to play at any level, the best thing to do is come down to one of the training sessions, check out our facilities and meet the coaches and players.  If you like the Club and would like to join as a member, you will eventually need to register

Please note - the 2011/12 season begins in late September. However there is currently some summer hockey taking place and pre-season fitness & training sessions sessions for men and women.  So please check out the details, come along and get involved!
