Leeds Hockey Club has successfully purchased tickets for the London 2012 Olympic Games!!!
We have been able to get 26 tickets for the two games in the evening session (19:00 - 22:45) on the first day of the competition, Sunday 29th July 2012.
It has been decided that as we purchased these tickets as Leeds Hockey Club, we will be attending this event as Leeds Hockey Club. As such Chris Chambers is organising an all inclusive package deal that will include:
· Travel to London, leaving Leeds on Saturday 28th July at ~ 07:00
· Friendly mixed hockey matches in / around London on Saturday afternoon
· Meal and evening social
· Overnight accommodation on Saturday 28th July at YHA London Holland Park
· Sunday – a combination of more friendly mixed hockey matches and free time to do ‘touristy’ stuff in London,
· Ticket to see the two Olympic hockey matches
· Travel from London after the hockey on Sunday 29th July, arriving back to Leeds at ~ 03:00 / 04:00 on Monday 30th July.
The price is anticipated to be approximately £125 per person:
- Hockey tickets = £22
- Accommodation = £42.85 (including dinner)
- Travel = TBC (depends on several variables - tbc closer to the time)
The deadline has now passed, and the LHC Committee has allocated the 26 tickets. There were a total of 37 applicants at deadline.
If you were a successful applicant here's what to do next;
- £50 cheque made payable to 'Leeds Hockey Club' by SATURDAY 3RD DECEMBER.
- Your preferred e-mail address and mobile number
- Whether you're willing to drive a mini-bus for a weekend
- Any contacts with clubs in / near London who you think may be available for a couple of games over the weekend.
If you were unsuccessful, please hold tight as there may be some people who are no longer able to make that weekend!
