Throughout October Leeds Hockey Club are supporting Leeds Mind with their campaign to coincide with World Mental Health Day on Saturday 10 October 2020.

Leeds Mind are asking supporters to join them in taking part. You can do this following these steps:

  1. Choose an item to carry for a full day! Perhaps you have a giant teddy bear? An orange teapot? An exercise ball? Perhaps a tin of beans?! Maybe it’s something that means something to you about your mental health. Feel free to get creative with this.
  2. Start the day with posting a selfie with your object online, stating “I’m Carrying the Burden to support Leeds Mind because…” (example: I’m Carrying the Burden to support Leeds Mind because I want to support other people like me who struggle with depression #CarrytheBurden)
  3. Share your updates throughout the day, using the hashtag #CarrytheBurden
  4. Finish your day with your final update, making a donation to Leeds Mind, and nominate three friends to take on the challenge during October.
