From the monsoon two weeks ago to the sweltering heats of last night, the summer league is throwing all of the weather that Yorkshire can at you.
Now we have collected the scores for week two, we bring you the results from the last two weeks and the latest league table.
This week has had all the drama from an 4-2 lead at half time being lost through to the first sending off of the league for having too many players on the pitch!
Captains
Captains now have club email addresses for you to contact them via. They are in the format of [teamname]@leedshockey.co.uk
In addition, Dragon have now found a captain in Alex Makin so the Dragons can contact him via [email protected]
Selection
If you receive an email from the system, this means that you have been selected for the game that is outlined in the email. The captains have been asked to do this by Saturday evening at the latest (and some have even been selecting their team nearly a week in advance) and following up on the Monday with reminders / new selections if players inform us that they are unavailable after being selected. If you cannot play, please create an omission (as outlined below)
Availability
The biggest gripe so far from captains has been players not telling the system that they are unavailable. The system assumes that you are available to play unless you tell it that you are not. PLEASE tell the system if you are unavailable by creating an Omission in the My Player page. This allows the captains to forward plan for when there are a lot of people unavailable and allows us to avoid situations like last night where only two of one team were available. ClubBuzz have produced a video to talk you through the process.
Fees
Please check your balance regularly, especially if you are playing summer hockey. We can announce that if you are registered to pay by direct debit, the your balance cannot exceed £50 or you will be made ineligible for hockey with LHC this summer. If you are not registered for direct debit then the limit remains at £20. Your balance can be checked (and paid) on the My Financial Activity page.
Umpires
We are paying umpires for this summer league, a big step for LHC! If you want to umpire, please let us know by filling in this Google Form. We are also offering umpire coaching if you want some pointers / just to give it a try.
