That is it, we are all done for Sumer League 2021. Congratulations to our league champions Centaur who, with the help of top goal scorer Dean Edwards cruised to victory, only stopped from a clean sweep last week by Phoenix. We hope that you have enjoyed playing and getting back into the competitive spirit ahead of the return of league hockey next month as well as getting to meet people from across the club that you would not normally interact with. Our thanks go to our umpires for getting us through the last eight weeks and to the captains for organising your teams.

As always if you experience any of the following symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days of a hockey activity with LHC.
Please inform the COVID Officer by email ([email protected]) if you exhibit any of the following symptoms or you receive a positive test result:

  • A temperature
  • A new dry cough
  • Loss of taste or smell

If you are at a loss for what to do with yourself before training starts W/C September 06 then there are still spaces for tomorrow night’s knockabout. Sign up here.

And just for Torq – Club Day is Saturday 04 September 2021. Details and a sign up form can be found here.

The summer league has been brought to you by volunteers, as is much of what the club does. At the moment we are really struggling to ensure that the club runs smoothly for the 2021/22 season. We are in desperate need of a Women’s Club Captain, both men’s and women’s captains and an Umpires Co-Ordinator. If you think you can help, please contact [email protected].

Have a great 2021/22 and see you next summer!
