A final “few” updates for you before we start on Wednesday.
League Kick Off
Hopefully after the few bumps we have had this week (as always at the start of a season), next week should be smoother. Thank you for bearing with us.
Clash with Adel Women’s Summer League
We are aware that our summer league clashes with an evening of the Adel Women’s Summer League. All captains have been informed that the Adel Summer League takes priority and if you are on the selection list for the Adel league, you should not be selected for the LHC league.
Pitch
All games will be played on Hockey 1 (top pitch). Feel free to come early or stay late and enjoy a drink from The View bar as we play.
Selection Emails
When you receive your selection email, please click the link in the email to respond. This will make your captain’s lives much easier and cause them less stress as it gets closer to Wednesday and avoids you getting a reminder email.
Omissions (Absences)
Please, please, please tell the system when you are not available. A lot of teams have had people who are not available selected because they had not let the system know. Please fill in any absences on your ‘My Profile‘ page.
Reduced Balance Cut-Off
For the summer the Club has reduced the balance you can have on your account and still play to £20. The captains will be provided with a list of names who are over the balance cut-off each week. You will not be selected to play if you are excess of that limit. You can check your balance and pay on your ‘My Financial Activity‘ page.
Please note, if you pay by Direct Debit, the limit does not apply as your balance is collected automatically. To set up a Direct Debit go to your ‘My Profile‘ page.
Knockabouts
From Thursday 09 June the Club also has the use of Hockey 1 from 7:30-9:00pm for our knockabouts. These are a turn up and play event that is a little less structured than the summer league. The cost for these will be set at tomorrow’s committee meeting and a club wide email will follow but we are giving you early notice.
Umpires
Summer is a prime time to give umpiring a go. If you want to have a go, please let us know. We have the Club Umpire Developer’s available to help. You will also be £10 better off!
