Hockey for Heroes (H4H) is back and raring to go, taking on a mighty tour in May 2023!
#OpLastPost will be the first ever Hockey for Heroes joint men’s and ladies tour, commemorating and paying tribute to those brave servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
Alongside 54 games of hockey over 9 days, the H4H Squad will undertake a series of military, physical and endurance challenges, totalling 457km; 1 for every life lost in the conflict, for our greatest challenge yet.
Whilst the challenges give H4H members the opportunity to push their limits, hockey provides a platform for both LHC and H4H to deliver a fun & family friendly, celebratory day for all club members and supporters.
H4H will be commencing their adventure from Friday 26th May till Sunday 4th June, 2023, travelling from Ben Rhydding to Portsmouth and will be landing at LHC on Saturday 27th May.
As a club, we have supported this organisation, since they began in 2012 and have hosted the men and women on their respective tours. Our hosted days, have successfully raised thousands of pounds for this great cause and we need YOU, to continue our support and get involved.
We are honoured that past and present members of LHC, have represented Hockey for Heroes. Since the H4H women’s squad was created in 2016, our very own women’s co-club captain Sarah Wood was selected to represent this cause and has completed a wide range of challenges over the years. This Sarah’s second tour with H4H and she is excited (and nervous) to embark on this next adventure. If you would like to support Sarah’s journey, she would love for you to attend the LHC host event on Saturday 27th May, 2023 – 11:00 till 19:00.
