Women’s 1XI

For the second year Leeds Hockey Club’s Women 1XI come home with the Yorkshire Cup

Starting the Weekend with a 2-2 draw against Doncaster, the team progressed through to today’s final following a 3-0 win via penalty strokes.

Sunday’s final saw them face Ben Rhydding 1XI. Following a gruelling 70 minutes of hockey, the score was tied 0-0 meaning another penalty shootout.

The team kept cools heads and went on to win the penalty stroke contest 4-2, meaning that they are the back to back Yorkshire Cup holders for 2020 after their win in 2019.

Men’s 1XI

The opening game on Saturday saw a last minute goal from Doncaster leave Leeds to face Wakefield in the playoff.

Returning on Sunday, Leeds showed their strength as the put six past Wakefield.
