The Committee of Leeds Hockey Club are aware of the importance of keeping your details and data that we hold to run the club safe. We work hard to ensure that we comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which has led to some of the changes in our communications this season. We updated our Data Protection Policy last September and look to review it annually. If you want to read the Data Protection Policy you can do so here.
Keeping your data safe
ClubBuzz is a secure system that stores your data. Apart from you, the only people who can see your details stored on ClubBuzz are those in the club who require it to complete their club role such as captains, team managers and those on the committee with a direct need to see you data. All of those with access to ClubBuzz have undertaken data protection training ensure they are aware of the requirements placed upon them by legislation and club policies.
Keeping your data up to date (“Registartion”)
In September every year, ClubBuzz will remind you to register for the upcoming season. To do this is as simple as updating your details (and if you are parent, your child’s as well).
You can do this by clicking the appropriate name on the My Profile page. It is then a matter of checking the details we have on file, correcting anything that is wrong, and then clicking the “Submit” button at the bottom of the page. If you have not changed anything, please press “Submit” anyway to ensure registration.
If you do not register by the deadline annouced in September, the Club will remove your account to comply with GDPR, so please, make sure you register if you wish to stay with the club.
Emergency Contact Details
We ask that all members ensure they have an emergency contact on their profile. For our junior members, parents will need to add a contact to their profile as well.
Have your details changed mid-season?
If your details change mid-season, you don’t have to wait for the registration period to be open to update your details, they can be updated at any time, by following the same process as above.
Parents can add their child’s email address to their child’s profile. This means they will get emails sent to them such as At A Glance and selection emails.
Please note, any email sent from ClubBuzz will be sent to all registered email addresses for that player, i.e. an email sent to a child, will be sent to the parent who holds the account, and any other email that has been registered with the account.
