At the Dinner Dance we focused on the hard work of our volunteers that keep the club running, from the captains and coaches through to the umpires and the committee.
Our club is run by volunteers and we currently need more to keep the club functioning.
We have a lot of vacancies, and we need our members to fill them.
The list of vacancies is:
- Vice Chair
- Club Disciplinary Officer
- Umpire Coordinator
- Kit Coordinator
- Welfare Officer
- Communications Officer
- Sponsorship & Fundraising Coordinator
- Data Protection Officer
(The hyperlinks above will take you to a role description for that role)
There are always members who take on additional responsibilities and it is important that the roles are staffed suitably.
The committee are currently filling in for multiple roles, and with the start of the season approaching, there is additional pressure on them to ensure everything runs smoothly. As a club we need to place less reliance on the few people who currently volunteer and spread responsibility further across the club. It also allows us to bring more voices into our decision making.
The more people we get involved, the easier the roles become. The club will be more than happy to accept job shares.
In addition to the committee roles, we are looking for people who are considering becoming coaches, for both the junior and senior sections. We have three nights coming up for those who might be interested in getting involved, all at Sports Park Weetwood:
Tuesday 23 August 19:30 – Coaches Forum Meeting (Seniors)
Thursday 1 September 19:00 – Juniors Coaches and Helpers Evening
Thursday 08 September 19:00 – Coaches Forum Meeting (Seniors)
If you think you can spare some time to help the Club, either by taking committee role or coaching then please let us know by filling in this Google Form or by replying to this email.
Our next committee meeting will be on Tuesday 16 August at 19:00 at Sports Park Weetwood. Please contact the Club Secretary ([email protected]) know if you would like to attend so he can arrange for you to receive the agenda in advance.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to remind you all about the Club Survey that is currently open for responses. That can be accessed here.
In the meantime if you have any questions about volunteering with the club, I can be contacted by replying to this email or via the email address below.
